Film Festival on Black History

Amity School of Communication, Amity University conducted two day film festival on Black History along with The American Center, New Delhi on 18th and 19th February 2016 at the University Auditorium. Ms. Tyrena Holley, Commercial Attaché, U.S. Embassy and Ms. Indu Wadhawa, Program Manager, Cultural Affairs, Office American Center represented the American Center and interacted with students. Ms. Jayati M. Sharma, senior faculty and Assistant Professor, Amity School of Communication welcomed delegates.

Ms. Holley spoke on racism – its history, evolution, contemporary issues and how the black and black history represented in films. Students of Amity School of Communication raised some interesting doubts and concerns on the films. The Help (2011), Glory (1989), Amistad (1997) and 42 (2013) were the films screened during the festival.
